Dans Cigarette Pack Collection
Some very long time forum friends may remember I put out a request at the very start of the forums life, asking for help to find lots of cig packs I have always been looking out for. I managed to find a few examples over the years, and this is how my collection looked like by December 2015:

To describe the image above, all the green packs in the second row from the bottom are all from the UK. Menthol is supposed to be 'more tempting for kids' so they are banning all those in a few years, perhaps by 2020, so its important to collect those now. The deep purple at the very top are Djarum Cherry flavour clove cigs, and the cream colour ones at the top are the Djarum Vanilla flavour clove. Then we have the pink Esse Aura strawberry flavour, Allure Mint, Kiss Passion (unsure if these are flavoured?), Allure Lilac Flavour, St. Moritz Executive cigs from the UK (with example cig). Back to the left we have Virginia Slims 120s Regular - which I found on ebay some time back, along with the Virginia Slims Regular and Menthol packs from the 1970's (I think?) next to them. A 1960's pack of Eve 100s and a 1950's pack of Eve 100s (I had shipped over from Australia, and are faded on the side you can see exposed). The pink one in the bright light is actually DJ MIX Strawberry flavour, which you can see clearer in the image below. Then a red pack of Kuelian from China - which I bought with the two Esse packs on the front row (Coffee flavour and Lights), and a gold box of 'London' cigs, also from China. On the bottom row we have two Berkeley types from the UK, a pack of Sioux Cigs a friend brought me back from Sedona USA, the Superkings are a UK brand but came from a Duty Free flight to Benidorm. Lastly Ice Blast from the UK, and Dunhill the same friend brought me back from Sri Lanka - which has all the new propaganda warfare garbage on the pack, so I blanked those out with sticky labels.
This was my collection as of June (Summer) 2016:

A contact I made though this forum shipped the Virginia Slims 120 Menthols you can see on the far left, and the 120s Misty below it. On the right at the top (next to the St. Moritz) you can see a pack of LF (?) Zesty Orange flavour cigs, below right is Salem Gold (perhaps a retro pack) I bought, along with the Yves St. Laurent next to them, and the Merit sampler on the bottom row - from an ebay Estate sale. On the bottom row we have a pack of La Rose 520s, that I found from a contact in Hong Kong. A silver pack of JPS Lights from the UK, and a rounded pack of Vogue Menthol from the UK.
My roving friend brought me back these from Germany this summer.

My collection is really filling out nicely now, and I hope to post a new photo as soon as a couple more samples I ordered online have arrived. But today, in the UK, I walked down to my usual fine tobacco dealer to find a couple of packs are now the new PTO (Propaganda Turn Off) covers. Oh dear, the blight has started already. So I spent some time today buying a classic Gold Box! pack of Benson and Hedges, as well as a few iconic names such as Silk Cut, before they disappear into history. The empty packs alone will be worth a lot of money in the future, but I have no intention of smoking the contents, I just want to look at them like I have my own tobacco store, and so that I can remember what stylish, smart and professional packaging looks like in the years to come. If you have a regular brand, Id say save the packs now so that they can be of value in future.
