Flavoured and Unique Cigarettes Nearly 250 million women in the world are smokers. Around 22% of women in developed countries and 9% of women in growing countries smoke tobacco products. Nowadays tobacco companies manufacture a wide range of cigarette brands particularly for women. The tobacco industry is marketing cigarettes to women taking advantage of alluring images of vitality, elegance, modernity, slimness, and emancipation. In the 1990s, cigarette makers promoted cigarettes as “ torches of freedom” as they wanted to extend their markets throughout the world. Tobacco companies used the concept of modernity and liberation in new markets. The use of this vision when promoting cigarettes is particularly used to promote to females in nations where women are developing more equality and freedom. Cigarette manufacturers promote tobacco products to women all over the world, demonstrating cigarettes as icons of upward liberty, gender equality and freedom. The effects of cigarette companies targeting women can be observed by the boost in the amount of women who have took up cigarettes recently. Most remarkable are the “women only” cigarette brands: these female-targeted cigarettes are long, extra-slim, low-tar, and light-colored, and these also typically had flavour added.

PlayPlay appeared from the Russian based Innovation Tobacco Company as a follow-up to KISS. The brand seems active between 2011-2013, and is aimed at teens.

Yes but of course, if someone can get these brands locally, please consider sending us a few packs and you will get to see these delightful cigs between some awesome pretty pouting lips - having fancy cigarettes like these to offer our models may be just the thing to attract some more women into doing a smoking shoot with www.WomenSmokingCulture.com and www.ModelHouseShow.com ? ? ? But a post script, I've got to wonder what kind of marketing genius thinks it is a good idea to have a cigarette brand with the enticing name of "Glamour" or "Style" and make the cigarettes as skinny as tooth picks and short old stubby king size A thin cigarette looks ridiculous in the hands of a pretty woman and just like a rollie after the first few puffs - sure call it 'slim' but keep the dimensions of a regular cig and make it as long 'as' and the look will indeed be 'cool' and the smoker will be a walking advertisement for the product too (in my humble opinion).

Cigarette Sizes Marlboro/B&H are all 8mm diameter, 85mm length. Virginia Slims, Saratoga, and Misty are all 7.23mm diameter, 120mm. Max, Carlton, Vogue and Eve are skinnier than VS/Saratoga, these are called 'Slims' at 6mm, 120mm. 'Super-slims' (Glamour, Kiss, Capri - most of what is listed on these pages!!) are 5mm diameter and 95mm to 120mm length.

Maybe I'm just too much of an old dog...Sexy Cigarette packaging to me is something that looks expensive. Lots of gold and silver hand tooled look...all these packs look like they belong in a filthy makeup bag. Cheap.

I dont think they look cheap, but some are certainly aimed at Teens rather than full blown ladies. I like some of the packs, and Elle have a sophisticated line, but in general flavoured cigs, by definition, dont tent to appeal to the mature smoker, and so the packs are designed to be more flowery and Summery. There are also wild variations. Karelia packs are somewhat refined, but their Omé range is clearly designed for students, and is too tacky. Lady, on the other hand, would be very refined if the colours on the filters werent so ugly.
I havent finished listing them all, and Virgina Slims is a placeholder until after this weekend when I can fill that section in.

I ordered a pack of Kiss to try them out. They arrived today. They are very slim-line, and so much smaller and slimmer than they appear in the photos. The design is what I wanted, and they will now take position in my small display.
